The Catenian Association has a firm commitment to helping Youth. Our support for The Catholic Youth Ministry Federation (CYMFED), through sponsorship of the Flame events as well as Embrace in Liverpool, Brightlights in Stafford, Youth 2000 in Walsingham are a few of many examples of major events the Catenian Association have been involved with.

 

The annual Public Speaking competitions for 16 to 18 year olds is now firmly established throughout Great Britain, culminating in the National Final in Manchester which goes from strength to strength.

 

Through the work of the Youth Working Group of the Great Britain National Council, progress has been made in liaising with Diocesan Youth services and University chaplaincies. There is representation on Diocesan Youth committees and it is hoped again to have an input at the University Chaplains’ conference. The collation of these and other Catenian youth initiatives is ongoing.
